It is with deep sadness and shock that I have to announce the sudden and untimely death of Mark Brown. Our condolences go to all of his family and friends. 

Mark was a well known and much loved member of the club; he will be deeply missed by us all.

The family of MARK BROWN would like take this opportunity to thank everyone for their support and  their condolence on the sudden death of Mark. He was one in million, his family thank you for all your support.

Funeral Details:

Thursday 4th of March at 2pm at the Wrekenton Methodist Community Church,

3pm at the Crematorium, then to the Cricket Club.

The 2009 season is over, the first team ended up in 7th place, then second team in 9th place. Let's see you at the club regularly through the rest of the year. New players / social members are welcome, come along and ask to speak to Bill Kidd, Michael Coates or Stephen Devenport for more information, or fill in the Application form to register your interest. Actually joining has never been easier, go along to the club, tell a member of staff you wish to join, pay the £10 subscription and get your membership card there and then.

Indoor Nets 2010 at Cardinal Hume - Wrekenton:

Senior nets: 5 weeks on Wednesday nights, starting at 7pm until 9pm, on March the 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th and 31st

Junior Nets: 8 weeks on Sunday morning 10am – 12 noon on 21^st, 28^th Feb, 7^th , 14^th, 21^st , 28^th March, 11^th and 18^th April. (4^th April is Easter Sunday - no nets)

2008 - 3rd XI - Winners of the Durham Senior League Cup 17Jul2008.

2007 - Just Sport Trophy Winners, beating Newcastle City. Batting first Newcastle City were blown away by Cliff Deacon, with 5 for 4 from 7 overs. Posting a total of just 79, Newcastle City were on the back foot and never recovered, the Fell knocking the runs off with wickets and overs to spare.

2006 - Gateshead Fell 1st XI beat Benwell Hill to lift the Just Sport Trophy 27 Aug 2006. A magnificent 155 not out from Martin Bekker helped the Fell to 243 for 7 from 35 overs, a score which proved too much for the Hill to chase.
